William Smith, a pioneer farmer, was found dead in bed at his home, south of �; Oaklandon. yesterday, and the indlcations were he had been dead for several days. Smith was a widower, seventy-two years old. and lived alone. He left three sons and four daughters. As the old man�s neighbors had not seen him for two or three days, an investigation was made. An inquest will be held by the coroner�s deputy. The fact that there was no fuel in the Smith home led many to believe : that the old man may have died from exposure. The coroner is of the opinion� that heart failure was the cause of death.
